FYI: Crafting on television

Set your TiVo now!
::if you have one, that is::

The show we’ve all been waiting for (Ok, maybe I’m the only one who’s really been waiting for this) debuts Thursday, April 6, at 2:30 p.m. on the DIY Network: Stylelicious! Wahoo!

Hosted by members of the Austin Craft Mafia, the show’s premiere episode will cover vintage fashion. DIY describes the episode as:
“The fashionistas take vintage clothing and make them into custom creations. First, we get some tips on vintage clothes shopping from Jen Barker-Benfield, who runs a vintage shop called Blue Velvet. Host Karly Hand converts a blazer into a boat-neck jacket with a few snips and some basic sewing skills. Host Jesse Kelly-Landes takes an ordinary A-line skirt and gives it a mod feel with some appliqué.

Sounds like a winner to me. The show will air again April 9 at 4 p.m. if you missed it the first time. Don’t forget to check out fellow Austin mafia gal Vickie Howell and her show, Knitty Gritty, also on DIY. (Should we be buying stock in this network?)

DIY’s Web site has a few teasers to what some of the upcoming episodes will cover. Check ’em out here!

The site also lists their other “crafting” shows and the times they hit the airwaves. From Junky to Funky looks like it could be a winner, and who doesn’t love Carol Duvall?
