Big Thanks from Detroit Urban Craft Fair

The holiday season is a busy one for us all, and we wanted to take a moment to reflect on our 19th year of DUCF and thank some very special people who are a big part of our fair:

The Masonic is an historic gem in Detroit, and we’d like to thank all of their dedicated staff who help us in the planning process and in assisting all of our shoppers throughout the weekend.

Thanks to all of the Handmade Detroit staff and volunteers, who are the backbone of this show, and especially to our volunteer coordinator Liz and to our Merch Manager Amy.

We are grateful for all of our sponsors! City BirdArsenal HandicraftSupah!Gus & GreyOuter Spaceways, and Detroit GT all helped support this show. ESP is our merch maker, and Rocket Printing is our printing partner. Thank you so much for your talents and contributions to DUCF!

POST and MINT Artists Guild hosted such a fun Kid Craft area, and we’re so lucky to have them in the fair and in Detroit.

Hugs to Dan Nixon for designing & developing our websites and so much more, and to Austin for our “Best of” prizes  & Betsy for making Teeny DUCF for all to enjoy.

In the fun department – Sadie Q, our Social Media Manager, really shines a light on our fair and DJ DaveDelectabowlGooseneck Coffee, and the Masonic bar staff all make sure everyone has a great weekend.

Our beautiful poster this year was by Shayla Johnson of Scarlet Crane, and Doug Coombe photographed our weekend together.

To our vendors: We wish you the finest year to come and hope all your crafty dreams come true!

Most of all, thank you to our DUCF shoppers! This has been a tough year for many makers and small businesses and we are all so grateful that you chose to join us this year with cheer and your support. We appreciate your generosity and that so many of you have made DUCF a holiday tradition to share with your friends and family.

Next year will be our 20th anniversary and it’s going to be one for the history books! Please come back, and bring someone new! Tell your crafty friends to follow our socials, and watch for our DUCF application announcements in the summer of 2025.

Please tag and tell us about your own creative endeavors too – we want to see what Metro Detroiters are up to, and be inspired by you all year round!

Yours in the Crafty Revolution with love and gratitude,

Bethany Nixon & Carey Gustafson
