Hamtramck Labor Day Festival is just around the corner and what a party it is! For decades, people come from all around to join in the street party fun with Hamtramck residents new and old. 

Mixed into the carnival rides and games,local foods, music stages and beer tents you’ll find original artists, crafters and vintage vendors selling their wares. Festival organizers tell me there’s still room to apply for a space! All the news you need to know is at their website.

And can we all take a moment to sit back, smile and admire the fine work of illustrator Jodi Lynn Burton’s poster design this year? A charming rendition of Hamtramck Disneyland, who’s creator and caretaker recently passed.  I personally hope this is also a T-Shirt design!

The Hamtramck Labor Day fest is September 5, 6, and 7th from Noon to 10pm in the heart of downtown, sprawling Northbound of Caniff on Joseph Campau. See you there!
