One of our very special features at this year’s Detroit Urban Craft Fair is for kids – brainstormed and fabricated by sponsors Chris & Tiffany Best of Rust Belt Market. We don’t want to give too much away, but they’ve designed a hans-on activity for children off all ages that will completely surround their table space!
Rust Belt Market is a window shoppers visual wonder, located on the N/W corner of 9 & Woodward in Ferndale, MI. Once a vacant space, these two creatives opened this market place for artists, crafters, foodies and more. A commune for upstarts, of sorts. It’s a year-round destination to pick something up handmade or locally produced in some way.
They also provide a live stage for all types of musicians and special events. Something very special that’s coming up is Not-So-Silent Night, a benefit for Ferncare (a Ferndale based free clinic) on Friday, December 14th. From 5-9pm you can shop from local vendors, enjoy some live music and some of the Ferncare team will be on hand hosting a gift wrapping station.
