On September 20th and 21st, the DIY Street Fair happens in Ferndale, MI.
The free two day family event includes local artists (such as Handmade Detroit), restaurants, businesses, organizations, and a beer garden featuring 12 Michigan microbreweries.
Performances by 36 local bands on two stages, including a children’s stage featuring the Paul Green School of Rock Detroit House Band and exhibitions by Detroit Derby Girls, Detroit’s female roller derby team. Main stage performances include Detroit favorites The Hard Lessons, The Muggs and many more.
This event highlights the “do it yourself” ethic, showcasing the best the area has to offer.
The Fair takes place on East Troy Street, where it meets Woodward Avenue and continues into the Ferndale City parking lot (Falvey Lot) directly behind Woodward Avenue Brewers.
Hours are Saturday noon to midnight and Sunday noon to 9 pm.
