UncommonGoods’ Garden Decor Design Challenge

From our friends at UncommonGoods:

UncommonGoods, an online retailer that specializes in handmade, eco- friendly and uniquely designed gifts and accessories, is excited to launch their first design challenge of 2013 – the Garden Décor Design Challenge. The winner will receive $500, an UncommonGoods vendor contract, and will see their piece in the Mother’s Day catalog.

The open call is a search for garden sculptures, planters, bird houses and other accessories for an outdoor space.

After the call for entries, the semifinalist designs chosen by the UncommonGoods buyers will appear on UncommonGoods.com where the online community will vote on their favorite pieces to move on to the final round of judging. The top five voted designs will be judged by UncommonGoods home accessories buyer Katie Giannone and artist Chris Crooks.  A winner will be chosen in late-February.

“Our customers love handmade, creatively designed garden décor,” says buyer Katie Giannone. “With spring and summer right around the corner, we are entering our strongest sales period for outdoor items. This design contest is an exciting opportunity to showcase your work, gain exposure and a potential partnership with our brand.”

Until January 31, 2013 at 11:59 EST, designers and artists are welcome to share their products at http://www.uncommongoods.com/designs/garden-contest.
