The 8th Annual Detroit Urban Craft Fair will be December 7th & 8th at the Masonic Temple in Detroit! Applications will open August 1st. Mark your calendars, more details to come!

Craft in America Returns with “Messages”

The PBS series Craft in America will be airing a new installment on Tuesday, May 24 at 8 p.m. The installment is titled “Messages” and will explore how artists use their craft to tell stories or show opinions.

One of us (cough, cough) may have been nerdily watching old installments this week and started to remember just how inspiring and thought provoking this documentary is to them. This Handmade Detroit member *may* have even gotten a bit choked up with the pride of tradition during “Origins.”
