Compai t-shirts
Say it ain’t so! We’re some lucky kids!
Ok. So we’ve got awesome books to give out. And we’ll be making a great craft. And we have CRAFT magazine subscriptions for so cheap it hurts. And we have snacks. NOW WE HAVE MORE GOODIES TO GIVE AWAY!
This just in! Add to the list of goodies:
“What is Compai,” you ask? Well, for starters, they’re crafty as all get out and featured in the new “99 Ways To…” book. Check it out:
Compai: COMPAI IS A CRAFTY, GREEN DESIGN STUDIO BASED IN BROOKLYN, NY. COMPAI IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY SISTERS, FAITH AND JUSTINA BLAKENEY.
Chaos T: We started Compai clothing a few years ago while living in Italy. Our clothing closely reflects where we live. At the time in Italy, ballerina styles and off the shoulder styles were in fashion, and many of the T-shirt designs in our book “99 Ways to Cut, Sew Tie and Trim Your T-shirt into Something Special” reflected that. Then we moved to New York last November… and the trans-Atlantic move is reflected in our designs. We call this top the “Chaos T,” the textures, and the shapes are like the towering skyscrapers. The result, like the big city, is chaotic, yet beautiful.
Books: COMPAI has authored three how-to books published by Potter Craft. Craft meets fashion design in the “99 Ways” series where Compai suggests easy, stylish ways to transform your wardrobe and give new life to old clothing. The newest title “99 Ways to Cut, Sew, Tie and Rock your Scarf” shows everyone how to reincarnate scarves old and new into party tops, ponchos, or even flowy evening dresses. The techniques are simple, the supplies are easy to find, and every one of the 99 awe-inspiring projects takes an hour or less, from start to finish.
