DIY bikes, Part three: Crafts for the ride

Part 3 of 5 of our series on DIY bikes!

You’re going to need some gear for riding your bike. Why not make it yourself?

Let’s start with some crafty wearables. Every biker needs a messenger bag. Here is a good one:

Cover your head with this bike cap pattern from Bike Hacks. Or just your ears with these knitted bike helmet ear warmers via CRAFT. Like riding your bike in a skirt? (You are braver than I!) Check out this skirt guard tutorial to keep it nice.
