Recent Handmade Detroit press of note
There’s an interview up with me about Handmade Detroit and Phantom Limb on Indie Entrepreneur today. Hopefully I don’t sound like a complete dummy. Thanks Cristina!
Handmade Detroit was also named “Best ‘Hey, We Have That Too’ Cultural Movement” in the Metro Times Best of Detroit staff picks this week. (almost to the bottom of the page) This was a total suprise … and I hope we get one of those plaque things. Congrats to all the other HD ladies and fellow DIYers out there.

Sorry I missed this event. Would have loved to have made it. I was surfing around tonight and noticed when I googled “detroit michaels crafts”, they had an ad for 50% off, good only in Detroit stores for the next week or so.
I just bought an easel with it…great deal. Does anyone here know if the University of Michigan is sponsoring any art classes in Detroit this fall/winter?
