Applications are now open for Detroit Urban Craft Fair 2010, December 4th and 5th at the Fillmore Detroit!

“Craft Lab” seeking talent

Ok, ok. So this show is based in Los Angeles. But maybe some of you will be taking California trips soon? Heck, it’s worth reporting on. From a recent Myspace to yours truly:

“Screen Door Entertainment is looking for people who are 18-35 who are interested in appearing on Craft Lab, a craft show where you will learn a new skill or craft from a skilled craftsperson. The crafts will vary and range from anything from Doll Making and Puppetry to paper crafts or clay modeling to glass and metal work. If you have experience in crafts or just would like to spend a day on set learning something new, we are interested in having you on the show. It will be a great afternoon where you get to display your skills to our host or just have a totally new experience dabbling in something you may have always had interest in but never had a chance to get started. Here is your chance!!

Our taping schedule will run between September 19th and October 17th. If will be in the Los Angeles Area during that time and would like to be part of this fun experience, we would like to hear from you.

You can send an email and a photo of yourself to monsor.middleton@gmail.com and leave your name and contact number and the best time of day to reach you if you would like more details of this entertainment opportunity.”

I would love to be on Screen Door Entertainment to learn a new craft from a craftsperson. I have experience making puppets, knitting, making clothes, working as a photographer, and am a HUGE! believer in the importance of the art of crafty.

I live in Los Angeles and would absolutely love to be a part of this show!

Feel free to contact me at my above email address.

Thanks and hope to hear from you!

This is a year, probably too late, but I am a friend of Elana, from Austin and me an my family moved to New Zealand almost 2 years ago and I wanted Elana to know but lost her contact info. So taking a long long shot to see if I can find her.

    Love, Amy
